I generally really like noire style, old mafia stories, just generally the vibe of early 20th-century crime. I have read through the first 3 chapters and while the pace goes a little too fast for my personal tastes, I thoroughly enjoyed it so far. Not everything needs to be a multi-hour experience and this allows me to get immersed fast and enjoy a short thrilling ride.

It's clear that the author is well-read and the passion spats off the screen. The text is very well written and flows nicely, making it hard to put away. I'd recommend it to anyone to whom it sounds intriguing.
